I purchased both the RAM mount along with the Gilsson Direct Wire Cable for Garmin Nuvi to mount my Garmin with hard wire. The 90 degree plug on the wire does not properly connect into the Garmin unit as it interferes with the plastic rib below the connector on the Garmin moount. I was, however, able to remedy this with a hand grinder removing 50% of the rib. This is an issue of the cable as the original cable does have a longer plug. Read more...

I needed a new suction cup mount for my Nuvi 205. The one it came with broke after about a year. The suction cup where it attached to the spring had a tear in it and wouldn’t stay on anymore, so when I’d be driving, the darned thing would pop off almost causing me numerous accidents. Lucky enough for me, I found this mount. I first went on the Garmin website to check it out and see if that was what I was looking for, but they were asking for more than I wanted to pay. Wouldn’t you know it, I go to Amazon and I find the exact same product for less than what they wanted for it on Garmin!
